Bodyboarding

Bodyboarding has been a wave riding form since Captain Cook recorded seeing Hawaiian villagers riding Alaia boards on their bellies when he came to Hawaii in 1778.

Jumping forward to the early '70s Tom Morey reinvented the bodyboard to be more akin to the foam boards you see today. Through the 80/90's the popularity of bodyboarding skyrocketed and produced the slab seeking sport you see today.
